EMU 2026 Q1 Release: Better Visibility. Better Control. Better Operations

Better Visibility. Better Control. Better Operations

The EMU 2026 Q1 release is focused on practical improvements that make a real difference in live service provider environments. Provisioning responses are more transparent. User reporting is more comprehensive. vUsers are easier to find. Password reset workflows are more secure. Filters are more useful. Firmware management is more centralized. And EMU is ready for BroadWorks R26.

Together, these enhancements give administrators smarter tools, stronger control, and a more streamlined way to manage complex BroadWorks environments.

Here’s What’s New

Improved Error Handling for Provisioning
Provisioning is now clearer, safer, and easier to troubleshoot. OCI-P errors are surfaced directly in the provisioning API output, rather than only being logged internally. EMU now halts provisioning on the first OCI-P error to help prevent partial or inconsistent configurations, while structured 4xx responses include OCI-P error codes and concise message summaries.

Enhanced EMU Assistant User Reports
System and Enterprise Admins can now generate consolidated reports of all users, including vUsers, across one or more selected groups. This gives administrators a unified view for improved analysis and management, with an XLS export option for offline review, audit, or sharing.

System-Level vUser Search
Finding virtual users is now faster and more flexible. Admins can search vUsers at the system level using criteria such as service type, user ID, name, directory number, and extension. Search results provide key details including name, user ID, phone number, extension, service type, group ID, and organization ID, with direct navigation to the selected vUser profile.

Force Password Reset Support
EMU Assistant now supports forced password reset handling aligned with BroadWorks. When a forced reset is detected, users are prompted to update their password through a dedicated screen. Access remains restricted until the password update is successfully completed, helping service providers maintain stronger security and compliance

Improved Assistant Filtering
Search is now more accurate and easier to use, with group name included as part of the filtering criteria. This improves consistency across group listings and helps administrators find the right records faster.

Firmware Management in EMU Assistant
Firmware management is now integrated directly into EMU Assistant. Administrators can manage firmware operations and view related status information from within the Assistant interface, centralizing key operational tasks and improving day-to-day efficiency.

BroadWorks R26 Support
EMU 2026 Q1 adds support for BroadWorks R26, enabling compatibility with the latest BroadWorks platform features and updates.
